Muslim Vlog Star Comes To Christ After Dreaming Of Being "In Church Worshipping Jesus' Name"

Sazan Hendrix is a well-known figure on social media, and a prolific blogger. She has over 700k followers on Instagram and a vast following on her website. With a Kurdish background and a Muslim upbringing, many would think that Sazan is an unlikely convert to Christianity. But one night, in her bedroom, she met Jesus, and her whole life turned upside down!
"I had my identity crisis in college when I was 20," she told CBN. "I didn't really know who God was." Then, her Christian best friend named Stevie challenged her to do the unthinkable – really talk to God. "He said, 'you know what, when you go home tonight why don't you just ask God to reveal himself to you through your dreams?'"
"So, I literally went home that night and I prayed differently than I had ever done my whole life," she says. "And I just said 'I don't know who you are ...have you been there for me my whole life? Do you hear my prayers? Reveal yourself to me.'"
Well, God turned up!
"That night I literally had a dream that I was in a church worshipping Jesus' name…It was an out of body experience dream where I felt that love. I felt that worship. I felt it all," she says. "I could see myself in those stands and my hands were in the air. I could see myself worshipping Jesus."
Remarkably, Sazan had never even been inside a Church, nor did she know what Christian worship looks like. "When I had that dream I knew it wasn't just a coincidence… I was about to step into the light after I felt like I had been in the dark for so long," she says.
"For two weeks straight after I had that amazing dream I started having these prophetic dreams…I started to get to know this Jesus guy through my dreams and for me, that was all I needed to know that this was the truth."
When her parents found out about her faith in Jesus, they were extremely unhappy. "They were so upset," Sazan says."They told me, 'never tell us when you go to church because we don't want to hear about it.'" But that did not deter Sazan. Sazan broke Kurdish tradition and married Stevie, who has no connection to her Kurdish culture. Now, the couple give Christian marriage advice on their YouTube channel.
In the video below, the couple talk openly about their faith. "But to be straight up, Jesus means everything to me," Stevie says. "I got to college and I got to decide for myself what I believed. I've come to find that Jesus to me is everything, he's the reason I'm alive, he's the reason that I want to live. He's the reason I'm happy all the time, he's the reason I got this girl."
"I wasn't raised Christian. For me it was a personal journey I went on. I've been praying since I was 8 years old, but I never knew who I was praying to," says Sazan. "I started wondering if God was out there. I prayed one night asking God to reveal himself to me in my dreams."
"Literally that night, I had a dream that I was in a Church and worshipping Jesus."
"God is at the very centre of everything I do."
"I feel so incredibly blessed that God is at the center of our relationship. We are really proud of that and very vocal. Being out here in LA, sometimes it's tough and people don't talk about it."
"We love God!"
Sazan wants to use her phenomenal online platform for reaching millions for Jesus, and has some simple spiritual advice along the way.
"God just wants you to talk to him. He wants to you listen…It's amazing when you open your eyes and ears what God can show you."
