AS FOR ME
by Stephanie M. White
As for me, I look to the LORD for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me. Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light. Micah 7:7-8 NLT
"As for me," denotes choice. We can let our circumstances get the best of us or we can choose to look to God. The Bible tells us that God works all things together for our good, so we can let our trials sharpen our focus instead of giving them the power to bring us down.
For every problem we encounter, God has a promise. We can choose to focus on His promise rather than our problem; and as we do, our attitude will change. No longer will we feel like a helpless victim; on the contrary, we will declare our victory in Jesus' name and we'll be excited about all that God has in store.
Our perception makes all the difference. How do we see the trials we face? How do we view ourselves amid these afflictions? How do we see our Heavenly Father? Do we see God as a loving Father who certainly hears us or do we doubt that He even cares?
We need to look at life based on the truth of the Word. Our God loves us and He cares about everything we face. The trials we encounter are opportunities for God to display His power in our lives because we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us so!
View things God's way. You may be down now, but you will rise again!
