Liberty Counsel: Homosexual ‘Marriage’ Is ‘A Lie From The Pit of Hell’

During an interview about the upcoming anniversary of the Supreme Court legalizing homosexual “marriage,” Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver said “this is an issue that will never go away” because it contradicts the natural law, the natural order, and the claim that children don’t need a male father and female mother is “a complete lie from the pit of Hell.”
Homosexual marriage “puts every household at risk because same-sex marriage by its nature says that boys and girls, you don’t need moms and dads, that they’re completely irrelevant,” said Mat Staver on the June 20 edition of Crosstalk radio.
“That two men or two women are just as good as a mother and a father,” he said, “that’s a complete lie from the pit of Hell.”
“It’s just simply not true,” said Staver. “To deprive forever a boy of ever having the opportunity of a father or a mother or a girl of a father or a mother is damaging, and we will see the damage that is ultimately reaped against these children as they grow up and become our future leaders. So, that is damaging to the family.”
Explaining why the battle over homosexual “marriage” will never end, Staver said, “Whenever they attempt to redefine the natural, created order of marriage as the union of a man and a woman, it has direct and immediate consequences for religious freedom. Because the only thing that stands in its way, just like in repressive regimes when communism takes place, is the church. It’s people of faith.”
“It’s people who will not bend,” said Staver. “And they have a compass that always points north. It doesn’t shift around with the shifting tides of opinions or popularity polls. It has a true north.”
The pro-homosexual “marriage” folks “do not like that,” he added, “so they want to get rid of it. So they’ll find the baker, they’ll punish the florist, they’ll put in jail the clerks like Kim Davis. They’ll come after you because they want to silence you – no, they want to literally punish you.”
“So you can’t get away from it,” he said. Y”ou cannot ultimately simply put this in your rearview mirror and move on. This is an issue that will never go away as long as they try to defy objective reality with regards to marriage and human sexuality.”
