Harvard Historian Tells the Truth About Islam in 5 Words… Spread Like Wildfire
There is a belief among liberals and really anyone associated with President Barack Obama (himself included) that the religion of Islam has no problems — that it is equivalent in every which way to the religion of Christianity.
This belief seems extraordinary naive, especially considering that according to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a former Muslim herself, Islam is “NOT a religion of peace.”
The Harvard historian made this bold proclamation while speaking with ABC’s Martha Raddatz on “This Week” about the problems that the Islamic religion faces.
“Day in, day out, in the name of Islam, people are killed and most victims are Muslims,” Ali told Raddatz. “It is now time to look at and reform the religion of Islam so that we get to a place where we have peace.”
This is not to say that all Muslims are violent. Ali herself admits that there is a “huge group of Muslims” who are “peace-loving and practice only the peaceful parts of their religion.”
Ali contends that it is in fact these peaceful Muslims who must reform Islam from within. The problem is that whenever peaceful Muslims dare to speak out in favor of reform, they get labeled as “heretics and apostates.” Some are even condemned to death.
“Change is not going to come from the clerics; change is going to come from the heretics,” she added (H/TWestern Journalism).
It would certainly help, however, if our leaders and journalists would join Miss Ali in her mission to reform the Islamic religion.
Unfortunately, they prefer making excuses for Islam, which is why we need men and women like Ayaan Hirsi Ali to continue to bravely stand up for the truth.
