Yesterday, IDF troops stopped two separate Hamas terrorist teams attempting to enter southern Israel through underground tunnels to massacre Jewish civilians living near the border. The attack was stopped, but the price was high—at least four IDF soldiers were killed in heavy fighting. Though Israel had taken every measure possible to reduce civilian casualties (and Hamas continues to use civilians as human shields), Hamas is deliberately targeting civilians, even publicly declaring them to be “legitimate targets.” God is calling you and me to support, defend, bless and encourage His Chosen People in this moment of grave danger.
This is a critical moment for the Jewish people, and they urgently need our help right now. First, they need our prayers. This is a spiritual battle—a struggle between the forces of light and darkness, and we must fight it in the spirit realm. Second, they need our help. The economic disruption and suffering from day after day of constant attacks is huge, and many Jewish people are struggling to get by.
We are in Jerusalem. We have been helping during every crisis in the past, and today we are doing it again. Because of our track record, the Jewish people are looking to us for help. From the fifth floor of your home in the Holy City, the Jerusalem World Center, we are coordinating relief efforts.
The Jerusalem Prayer Team is receiving many urgent requests for help from Jewish people who are suffering from these horrible attacks. The only way we can respond to these pleas is with your help. People across much of Israel...up to half of the population...are in and out of bomb shelters as warning sirens blare out Code Red alerts regarding impending attacks. Our staff at the Jerusalem World Center has been forced to take shelter because of these warnings. The danger is real, and our response is critically needed.
