Heaven Is Our Destination Where We Will Be ONE With The Lord Forever

Today, we are in The Season Of The Last Generation. The Birth Pains that Christ Jesus spoke about are currently under way, including natural and unnatural disasters. They will be ever increasing. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. Social, economic and political turmoil will be ever increasing, causing people's hearts to be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life. An apostasy within the Church of God is currently under way. This will all reach a climax with Satan revealing his Antichrist and requiring that everyone worship him; That every one receive his "mark" in order to buy or sell; The new currency of the New World Order, the New Tower of Babel.

Today, it is critical that those who have a heart for God are aware of what God is doing and speaking today. God is opening up His Word like never before in preparation for The Time Of The END. I exhort you to open up your heart and your eyes to see what He is doing and your ears to hear what God is speaking at this time. My prayer is that we will be able to stand before the Son of Man at His appearing, without fault and with great joy. I encourage you to read David Wilkerson's book, America's Last Call at davidwilkersontoday.blogspot.com. Also, Google, Tommy Hicks Prophecy, 1961 for a view of the End Times.

(NYPOST) — A barbaric, bear trap-like device called a “biter” was used by ISIS to torture a breastfeeding mother in Syria, a report said Tuesday.
The 24-year-old new mom, referred to as Batol to conceal her identity, was walking through the city of Raqqa when she was snatched up by the Islamic State’s all-female police squad — the notorious al-Khansa brigade, the Daily Mail reports.
“‘I was in the market buying a few items when Khansa battalion came and arrested me on the grounds that the niqab [Islamic face covering] which I was wearing does not meet Sharia requirement because it was transparent,” she said. “[T]hey took me to the ‘Hesba’ headquarters in the city, and escorted me to the torture chamber, then they asked me to choose between a whip or a ‘biter.’

(WASHINGTONTIMES) — It’s not quite a gift from God but, politically, it may be the next best thing.
President Obama increasingly is finding a key policy ally in the Vatican, with Pope Francis standing virtually shoulder to shoulder with the White House on income inequality and a historic diplomatic reboot with communist Cuba.
The pontiff next year also appears poised to offer greater support to the president on climate change initiatives and reportedly wants to be a leading voice at a U.N. global warming summit next year, where the American president will make perhaps his greatest pitch to date for more dramatic action on the environment.
For Mr. Obama and fellow Democrats, aligning with Francis offers clear benefits in the short term, as they are able to highlight agreement on controversial issues with one of the most respected figures on the planet.

My comments: Is this the Antichrist and the False Prophet? Obama is certainly an anti-Chrsit and the Pope is a speaker of Heresy.

Students must learn to 'keep hands to themselves'

Leo Hohmann
Fresh off a victory in getting a law passed that regulates sexual encounters between students on college campuses, feminist activists in California are now pushing for instruction on sexual “consent” for children starting in kindergarten.
An activist group called Take Back the Night has joined with others to issue a set of “demands” to California colleges and public schools that it believes will help roll back “a culture of rape” on campuses.
“We recommend consent education in K-12,” the group said on its Facebook page. “College is too late for people to learn about bodily autonomy and respect.”
Those signing the demand for sexual consent education starting in kindergarten include student activists such as Sofie Karasek, co-founder of End-Rape on Campus at University of California Berkeley, and like-minded students at University of California Santa Barbara and San Diego State University.
Alejandra Melgoza, the Take Back the Night coordinator at U.C. Santa Barbara, told Huffington Post that consent education should include teaching students to keep their hands to themselves.
“Concerned parents might think we’re talking about consent in a purely sexual context, when really we’re talking on a day-to-day basis,” Melgoza told the website.
Warner, director of Associated Students of the University of California Sexual Assault Commission, told HuffPo that consent was not “just for intercourse.”
“It’s for all aspects of our lives, and people aren’t understanding or being taught that,” she said.
In August, the California Legislature passed Senate Bill 967, also called the “affirmative consent” or “yes means yes” law, which was signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown. This made California the first state to ditch the traditional legal standard for determining whether a rape occurred – “no means no” – and replacing it with the more aggressive “yes means yes” standard on college campuses. The new standard would not hold up in a criminal court, but can result in a student getting convicted by a campus tribunal and being kicked out of school or losing scholarships.
Critics of the “yes means yes” law argue that, absent a written consent, such as a text message or ink on paper, it would be virtually impossible for a man to fend off a false accusation of rape.
To avoid confusion later on, children must be educated in the finer points of consenting to sexual acts in grammar school and even earlier, proponents of the law now contend. That’s cause for concern among pro-family advocates who believe children should not be taught about sexual touching by public-school teachers in second or third grade, let alone kindergarten.
David Usher, president of the Center for Marriage Policy, is among those who are troubled by the latest demands by feminist activists.
“They are trying to plant a notion that a kindergartener could consent to sexual relations. They will deny that, but that is what they want,” Usher said. “The idea that a kindergartener could consent, or can consent, to a sexual relationship and needs to be taught about how to do that as a kindergartener, that is (Alfred) Kinsey on steroids.”
Dianna Thompson
Dianna Thompson
Also concerned about the new law, and the feminists’ plans to promote it in the schools, is Dianna Thompson, who testified against the “yes means yes” bill as director of Washington, D.C.-based Stop Abuse for Everyone, as reported previously by WND.
She is also considered an expert on family and divorce issues, having worked as a consultant for 25 years.
“I didn’t like the idea of ‘yes means yes’ to begin with. I thought the language in the bill was vague and ambiguous and over-broad and was going to make many unsuspecting young men have a problem where no problem existed,” Thompson told WND.
The U.S. Department of Justice reported that the rate of sexual violence cases reported against female Americans age 12 and up from 1995 to 2005 declined 64 percent. And that rate remained unchanged from 2005 to 2010.
“So, again, where is this ‘rape culture’ coming from when we have the U.S. Justice Department saying it is declining? How do you explain why we have these bills where you’re guilty until proven innocent, if you can even prove your innocence in this?” she asked.
Thompson said children need to be trained, at home, about moral issues.
“And we already do teach young children about this. It’s called right and wrong, and that’s what us parents teach our kids,” she said. “Why are we going to be teaching our children about issues they are not even supposed to be concerned about at that age? I think these issues aren’t even something that’s on young children’s radar. It just isn’t something the children are thinking about at these young ages. They can’t even process what sexual affirmative consent is.”
In fact, California’s new law is so vague that even adults have a hard time figuring out what is required, Thompson said.
The bill, for instance, states that lack of protest or resistance does not constitute consent.
“Who can understand that, even as an adult?” Thompson asks. “How is a child going to understand that? The language in this law is confusing even for adults. It makes no sense, and now we’re going to put this on children?”
Thompson is also concerned that the bill was passed into law without any hard data proving it was necessary. One study often cited by feminists is that one in every five college women, 20 percent, get raped during their college careers.
“We’re taking false stats and making laws out of them. That’s actually doing more damage than good. The 20 percent figure was not even based on a scientific study but on an online survey,” Thompson said. “There are no stats that indicate there is a problem so why do we keep going forward in these laws? And what’s going to end up happening is we’re going to create a situation where there wasn’t one.”
Thompson said she can foresee a situation where a young boy violates the “unwanted touching” credo and gets written up by his teacher as someone to be watched as a potential rapist.
“Say a 5-year-old boy touches a girl’s arm. Could that be a violation? What if a little boy gives a girl a hug because she fell down and he wants to make her feel better? Are we going to call that a sexual assault?” she asks. “That’s a scary thought. Rape is a serious crime, it absolutely is, but rape is a crime that is best adjudicated through the criminal law system and not through the schools, which don’t have the experienced personnel to know how to deal with this.”
Thompson hopes other states don’t try to emulate California’s law.
“That is the problem. I hope not. I think other states are concerned about it too because the statistics aren’t there to justify this law in the first place, and now we’re just moving this forward to include children who are much too young to understand what’s going on,” she said.
A lot of the pressure to adopt stringent new rules against rape on college campuses is coming down through the U.S. Department of Education and the Justice Department.
The Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights has stripped colleges and universities of a crucial component of self-government, Thompson said.
“Using statistics based on flimsy social science to manufacture hysteria about a ‘rape epidemic’ on campuses, the federal government is mandating the overthrow of due process in adjudicating accusations of sexual assault.”
California is the only state to have officially adopted the controversial “yes means yes” consent law for college students although other states have looked into enacting similar affirmative consent policies, reported Campus Reform.
Earlier this month, the Department of Justice released a new report on sexual assault that showed college students are less likely to become victims of sexual assault than non-students, the report stated. The Bureau of Justice Statistics report also claimed that 6.1 per 1,000 students are victims of sexual assault, debunking the widely quoted 1-in-5 statistic activists previously referenced.

President Obama and Turkish President Erdogan

President Obama and Turkish President Erdogan

NATO ally encouraged to 'liberate' Jerusalem

Turkish and Palestinian flags fluttered like angry birds in a crowd of thousands of people chanting “Allahu Akbar!” and “Down with Israel!”
The chants grew more exuberant as the hulking, bearded man on the speaker’s platform assured them that “God willing, we will liberate Jerusalem together.”
The speaker was Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal and his audience was Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party, gathered for its annual meeting Dec. 27 at a convention hall in Konya, the hometown of Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
The Turkish prime minister introduced the Hamas leader and then took a seat in the front row, cheering and clapping for the radical Islamist statements being made by Meshaal.
“As Turkey for centuries was the main defender of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, likewise with you are the center of the Muslim Umma (Muslim nation) which will carry on the mission of liberating Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque,” Meshaal told the crowd in an address that received almost no major media coverage. “Know this, that strong Turkey is the strength of Palestine and of Jerusalem. Turkey is the strength that represents all Muslims.”
Hamas, which leads nearly 2 million Palestinians in Israel’s Gaza Strip, remains a designated terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department and functions as an affiliate of the Muslim Brotherhood.
So when the Hamas leader appears, unannounced, as the keynote speak at an official political event in Turkey, a member of NATO and an important U.S. ally, that’s a big deal.
“Essentially Hamas is playing to the nationalistic fervor in Turkey and Turkey is using Hamas to gain favor throughout the Islamic world so it really is a mutually beneficial relationship,” says Joel Richardson, author of the New York Times-best-selling “Islamic Antichrist” and director of the recently released documentary film, “End Times Eyewitness.”
Opinions are mixed among Middle East analysts as to whether Turkey’s top leaders, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Davutoglu, are true Islamists or just using the rhetoric of radical Islamism to gain influence throughout an increasingly radicalized region.
Elmira Bayrasli, the co-founder of Foreign Policy Interrupted and a fellow at the World Policy Institute, is among those who seems to think Erdogan is not a die-hard Islamist but is moving in that direction to curry favor with his base of support.
“Beset by domestic crises, Mr. Erdogan has turned his focus toward his core constituency, a largely conservative, anti-Western population in the heartland,” Bayrasli wrote in a New York Times column earlier this year. “In doing so he has reverted to a tactic that has resonated with them: aggression.”
Turkey broke off its once-friendly relationship with Israel in 2010 and then Erdogan turned on his former ally, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. WND has reported a series of stories documenting Turkey’s double-edged policy toward ISIS as it plays both sides of the war against the Islamic State. Erdogan also supported the Muslim Brotherhood takeover of Egypt, a move that eventually backfired as the Brotherhood was later tossed out of power by Egypt’s military.
Richardson, who spent weeks in the Middle East interviewing Islamic, Jewish and Christian leaders for his documentary, believes Turkey’s government deserves close scrutiny as signs point to an even more dramatic change in not just style but substance.
Richardson believes Turkey has undergone a “soft revolution” as Erdogan has gradually steered the country closer to Islamic values and away from the West. This represented a break with Turkey’s more secular past, but Erdogan’s changes still did not attract anywhere near the amount of media attention that was seen in Egypt, Libya or Tunisia, the revolutions of the so-called “Arab Spring.” Turkey was touted in the West as the model for other regimes in the Middle East seeking a “middle ground” between Islamism and Western secularism.
But the convention held Dec. 27, with thousands of Turks shouting Islamic slogans in support of Meshaal, leader of a terrorist organization, is just the latest evidence that a wake-up call might be in order for Western policy makers in Washington and Europe, Richardson said.
Watch video clip below of Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal addressing members of the Turkish AKP Party on Dec. 27 in Konya, Turkey. The entire speech can be viewed at Shoebat.com.
“In light of the fact that everyone starts shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ in Turkey, which is fairly rare and you would only hear that from devout Muslims, it would seem there really is some strong Islamist tendencies going on,” he said. “But the bottom line is everyone should be concerned. About 10 years ago, even five years ago, the U.S. was still casting Turkey as the moderate secular model and among America’s greatest allies in the whole Middle East.”
Flying under the radar
While the changes taking place in Turkey may not have captured the attention of major TV networks like those in Iran following the 1979 “student” revolution or Egypt’s Cairo demonstrations, they are no less profound, Richardson said.
“The world looks on and they see the leaders of Iran after the Islamic revolution of 1979 and everyone says ‘well that’s a radical regime’ that needs to be marginalized and put under sanctions, but the revolution in Turkey and its ramifications are no less dramatic and we’re only now beginning to realize it was a soft revolution and it crept in and it’s to the point now where the prime minister of the nation is shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ (to Hamas),” he said.
But it seems the U.S. is slow to react to fundamental changes in the Middle East, even slower perhaps when the changes are taking place within the culture and society of one of its own allies.
“Turkey is a member of NATO, so imagine if Great Britain was saying ‘we’re going to lead an invasion of Israel.’ If that’s the case it’s time for the West to rise up and kick Turkey out of the NATO,” Richardson said. “We might as well just allow ISIS to join NATO.”
Also complicating the relationship is that Turkey, with the help of the West, has built the largest and perhaps best-equipped army in the Middle East.
When Vice President Joe Biden suggested several months ago that Turkey was aiding ISIS, Erdogan became furious, prompting Biden to quickly back up from his statement and offer an apology.
Richardson said there appears to be no conversation or debate going on in the U.S. about whether the country should make a foreign policy shift away from Turkey.
“No. That’s the thing because we’re weak. We’re weak in the Middle East,” he said. “We’ve got our backs against the wall and we need Turkey. The fact that Biden apologized for suggesting in a statement that Turkey was supporting ISIS, this administration is clearly scared of Turkey.”
Richardson led a film crew that covered an Erdogan rally in Ankara last year, and he experienced some of the same chilling mixture of raw nationalism and Islamic fervor as seen in Konya on Dec. 27.
“It truly felt like a Nazi rally,” Richardson said. “I took a whole segment to interview different leaders that highlight the Islamist takeover of Turkey and that was one of the big news stories that the West is barely paying attention to but needs to understand.
“The prime minister is the number-two man and he’s shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ to the idea of them leading an invasion of Israel and taking Jerusalem,” Richardson added. “Now, if anyone is doubting an Islamic takeover and Turkey is now emerging as a radical Islamic nation and they have the largest army in the region then they have their head in the sand. I’ve been saying this but everyone continues to function as if they’ve got their head in the sand.”
Antichrist in the making?
Richardson said he gets a lot of questions from readers and viewers of his three books and film about whether Erdogan might be the antichrist foretold by the biblical prophets.
He said that while it is quite possible that the biblical antichrist could rise from the area of modern-day Turkey, Iraq or Syria, he does not believe Erdogan fits the role.
“There will be a series of wars and there will, out of the ashes of those wars, emerge a leader that the Bible calls Antichrist,” he said. “So while these guys I don’t’ think fit the specific criteria they do fit some of the satanic lust for the control of the Temple Mount, which represents the throne of David and the future seat of the throne of Jesus Messiah.”
Richardson said the fact that Turkey is emerging as the champion of Hamas is profound.
“It has the largest army in the region and Hamas is simply the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, so Turkey is setting itself up as the head of the radical Sunni Muslim world with ideological and financial support from Saudi Arabia. But now Turkey is emerging as the champion, the ones to take Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood across the goal line and fulfill their dream of a regional caliphate in the Middle East.”
Richardson believes Turkey is using ISIS as a proxy to take out Assad in Syria and the Kurds in northern Iraq, clearing the way for the re-emergence of a Turkish-led caliphate in the region. Religious leaders in Turkey have long dreamed of a resuscitated Ottoman Empire.
“It comes not only from their Islamic fervor but also Turkish nationalism,” Richardson said.
Nationalism is considered a taboo among Islamic purists such as al-Qaida-inspired al-Nusra and ISIS.
“And that’s why Turkey is hiding behind ISIS,” Richardson said.
Borrowing Nazi-inspired philosophy
Davutoglu is considered the architect of Erdogan’s foreign policy and the intellectual energy behind the Turkish government.
Davutoglu wrote a book he called “Strategic Depth,” in 2001, a year before the Justice and Development Party or AKP came to power. This tome draws upon geopolitical thinkers such as the German Karl Haushofer, who popularized the term “Lebensraum” or “living space,” the same words used by German Nazis during the 1920s and 1930s as they prepared the German people for the idea of expanding the nation’s borders.
“Haushofer was one of the primary philosophers Hitler appealed to and Davutoglu appeals to the same guy as the basis for this neo-Ottoman philosophy he’s been articulating,” Richardson said. “This prime minister is a deeply ideological philosopher, a Turkish nationalist and an Islamist.”
Like President Obama, Davutoglu cut his political teeth as a college professor.
“Both are deeply ideological,” he said. “One is an Islamist the other, Obama, is a radical Marxist.”

After strange excuse, company takes sudden action

Leo Hohmann
That’s what students in that region of the world will see when they open their new world atlases as provided by the American-based mega-corporation HarperCollins.
And apparently this batch of maps did not come from the company’s fiction department.
The Telegraph of London has reported the global publishing house sells English-language altlases to schools in the Middle East that show Syria and Jordan extending to the Mediterranean Sea. The West Bank and Gaza Strip are also shown, but Israel is nowhere to be found on the map.
UPDATE: Shortly after WND’s publishing of this article, HarperCollins vice president for corporate communications called and sent the following statement via email:
“HarperCollins regrets the omission of the name Israel from their Collins Middle East Atlas. This product has now been removed from sale in all territories and all remaining stock will be pulped. HarperCollins sincerely apologizes for this omission and for any offense caused.”
Erin Crum, vice president of corporate communications for HarperCollins, would not say how many of the maps had actually been delivered to customers in Arab countries.
Besides some unflattering media coverage, the HarperCollins atlases also drew sharp criticism from the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, which accused the company of “harming peace efforts in the Middle East,” the Telegraph reported.
“The publication of this atlas will confirm Israel’s belief that there exists a hostility towards their country from parts of the Arab world. It will not help to build up a spirit of trust leading to peaceful co-existence,” said Bishop Declan Lang, the chairman of the Bishops’ Conference Department of International Affairs, to the Tablet.
“Maps can be a very powerful tool in terms of delegitimizing ‘the other’ and can lead to confusion rather than clarity. We would be keen to see relevant bodies ensure that all atlases anywhere reflect the official United Nations position on nations, boundaries and all political features,” added Jane Clements, director of the Council of Christians and Jews.
Collins Bartholomew, the subsidiary of HarperCollins that specializes in maps, said including Israel would have been “unacceptable” to its customers in the Gulf and the amendment incorporated “local preferences.”
The Tablet said it had discovered the customs officers in one unnamed Gulf country only permitting the import of school atlases once Israel had been deleted by hand.
HarperCollins is one of the world’s largest publishing houses and its stable of imprints includes the Thomas Nelson lineup of Christian books, which it acquired in 2011.
HarperCollins Publishers is a wholly-owned division of News Corp., the global, diversified media and information services company overseen by Rupert Murdoch and various family members. It is made up of leading businesses across a range of media, including: news and information services such as Fox News, digital real estate services, book publishing, digital education and pay-TV distribution. Headquartered in New York, the activities of News Corp. are conducted primarily in the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom.

Census report headlines overlook why foreign-born favor the left

Garth Kant
WASHINGTON – A creeping revolution is underway that’s stealthily altering the very core of America and the ideals for which its ancestors fought and died in freedom’s cause.
The phenomenon is leading the country toward embracing the very thing President Thomas Jefferson abhorred: ever-bigger government.
And it’s coming from a seemingly harmless policy many Americans embrace.
Legal immigration.
The numbers don’t lie. The U.S. is experiencing an immigration explosion never before seen in its history:
  • According to U.S. Census numbers, immigration averaged only 195,000 per year from 1921 through 1970.
  • With the change in immigration law in 1965, immigration levels skyrocketed from an average of 250,000 to one million a year.
  • The number of foreign-born persons in the U.S. has doubled from 1990 to 2010, almost tripled since 1980, and quadrupled since 1970.
  • As of the last census in 2010, 40 million immigrants were in the U.S.
  • Most estimates are that at least 11-to-12 million of those are illegal immigrants. However, some estimates put that figure as high as 38 million.
  • Forty-million immigrants is about 13-percent of the total U.S. population of 320,009,000 the Census Bureau estimated on Jan 1, 2014.
  • A recent report from the Congressional Research Service indicated the foreign-born population may increase by another 27.4 million people by 2022, climbing from 40.8 million in 2012 to 58.3 million after ten years.
Republicans have been up in arms over President Obama’s executive action to provide amnesty for five million illegal immigrants. But mostly overlooked have been the even greater changes to the country caused by an unprecedented and decades-long spike in legal immigration, compounded by illegal immigration.
After the release of new population projections by the U.S. Census Bureau earlier this month, most headlines focused on the news that whites will become a minority of Americans by 2044, when they will account for 49.7 percent of the population; Hispanics will be 25 percent; blacks will be 12.7 percent; Asians will be 7.9 percent; and 3.7 will be multiracial.
But the numbers only say what is happening, not why – and how the real story may not be the color of the immigrants’ skin but the content of their politics.
Researchers at the Center for Immigration Studies, or CIS, and the Eagle Forum say the data show immigrants tend to favor big government and vote Democratic, and that has numerous and significant ripple effects.
The key factors, according to their analysis:
  • Current high levels of legal immigration are not the historic norm
  • What matters isn’t race but the politics of countries of origin
  • Immigration is changing the country to favor more big government
  • Democrats are using immigration to increase their power
High level of immigration not the historic norm
Most Americans appear to believe today’s immigration numbers are par for the course, historically. But the numbers actually reflect dramatic change since the 1930s, propelled by a crucial change to immigration law in 1965.
The result has been an immigration explosion unlike anything America has ever experienced.
A graph of the numbers over the years vividly illustrates just how different today’s astronomical immigration levels are from the historic norm.

Traditionally, the United States allowed relatively few immigrants to legally enter the country, with the exception of two great waves. During the first wave in the 1880s, almost six-million immigrants entered the country. The second wave hit a peak of 8.7 million a little more than 100 years ago. Today’s immigration level dwarfs the previous historic peaks and is ongoing and ever-increasing.
Why is immigration to America booming?
Analysts point to the dramatic changes made in immigration policy in 1965 when President Lyndon Johnson signed the Hart-Cellar Immigration Bill into law.
President Lyndon Johnson sighing the 1965 immigration law
President Lyndon Johnson signing the 1965 immigration law
According to Steve Camarota of the Center for Immigration studies, or CIS, the 1965 changes unwittingly ushered in a new era of mass immigration.
Admission to the U.S under the old system depended mostly upon an immigrant’s country of birth. Seventy percent of immigration slots were reserved for those from the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany, and mostly went unused.
That quota system (established in 1921 and most recently modified in 1952) was abolished in 1965, along with other various nationality criteria. Family reunification became the most important criterion for entry into the country. It was the first time relatives of American citizens were given higher preference than those with special job skills.
Camarota said the changes were not meant to increase or decrease immigration. In fact. proponents repeatedly denied the law would lead to a large and sustained increase in immigration. The law was portrayed as an extension of the civil rights movement in America, leveling the playing field for applicants.
Camarota told WND the reason immigration levels began to rise so swiftly after 1965 was due to a large extent on unintended consequences, which Democrats would later learn to use to their advantage.
One factor that drove the numbers was family sponsorship. Once immigrants could sponsor family members the immigration population grew. In turn, there were more people who could then sponsor more relatives, leading to a geometrical growth of immigrants.
CIS found another factor was the expansion of supposedly temporary provisions in the 1986 amnesty law and another expansion in 1990 that increased such things as foreign students and guest workers. The increased interaction between Americans and foreigners in the county led to more people who could marry, and a further expansion of sponsorships.
Politics of countries of origin
According to researchers, the difference in today’s immigrants is they largely come from countries with systems of government much more rooted in social-welfare philosophy than America.
“Basically, they like big government. They like Obamacare, gun control, they like rich paying more taxes, more environmental regulations. As citizens, they generally vote for the party with that orientation,” explained Camorata.
That’s backed up by a comprehensive study by Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum, based on a compilation of census data and surveys including the Pew Research Center, the Pew Hispanic Center, Gallup, NBC News, Harris polling, the Annenberg Policy Center, Latino Decisions, the Center for Immigration Studies and the Hudson Institute.
The Forum’s survey found “most immigrants come from countries where the government plays a larger role in the economy and society. Their support for expansive government is reinforced by liberal elites in immigrant communities and the liberal urban areas in which so many settle.”
According to the study, 71 percent of voting-age Hispanics and 9 percent of voting-age Asians were either foreign born or had at least one foreign-born parent, and the data showed those voters skewed heavily to the left.
For instance, “Pew Research Center has found that 55 percent of Hispanics have a negative view of capitalism, the highest of any group surveyed. Pew also found that 75 percent of Hispanics prefer a bigger government providing more services, as do 55 percent of Asian-Americans. This compares to just 41 percent of the general public.”
“While the general public was divided in 2012 on Obamacare, 66 percent of Hispanics support it; and three times as many Asian Americans had a favorable opinion of the program as had an unfavorable opinion of it.”
Additionally, contrary to assertions by many Republican politicians who favor amnesty, the research showed most immigrants were not socially conservative.
For example, U.S.-born Hispanics and Asians tended to support abortion and gay rights, while foreign-born Hispanics and Asians were divided.
The study concluded, “more importantly, polls show that immigrants and their children do not vote for candidates based on social issues. Polls indicate that Republicans’ social conservatism does not particularly help or hurt them with voters in immigrant communities.”
The survey also found Hispanics and Asians were not alone in their liberalism, as the data for other immigrants, including Europeans and Muslims, indicated they also had views to the left of the average American voter.
The same pattern was discovered in all Western democracies, with immigrants and their adult children strongly favoring leftist parties.
Immigration is changing the country to favor more big government
The Eagle Forum study’s key conclusion is that immigration is changing the country’s politics by moving the electorate to the left:
“Because immigrants and their adult children overwhelmingly favor big government, there is no issue more important for conservatives than reducing the future number of legal immigrants allowed into the country each year. Otherwise, legal immigration will continue to add millions of liberal voters every decade, making it extremely unlikely that conservatives will be successful on all the issues they care about.”
With Hispanics and Asians now accounting for the bulk of immigrants, their views on the role of government have become increasingly relevant.
Their striking preference for big government was illustrated in this graph, included in the Eagle Forum report:
immig graph 2Camarota told WND another reason why immigration is such a boon to the Democrats is that it transforms society in ways that makes their arguments heard all the more sympathetically.
One obvious factor is that mass immigration from poor countries significantly increases the number of poor in America, and the poor tend to vote Democratic.
“One third of all the children in poverty today are in immigrant families. So, you have a much larger low-income population, especially children,” noted Camorata.
That leads to liberal arguments for greater government programs that even independents and moderates might find appealing.
“People naturally say, ‘Well, we’ve got to do something about it; those families obviously need help.’”
Camorata noted, as mass immigration dramatically increased the number of low-income workers, there was more pressure to expand specific government programs.
“People say, ‘We gotta help them. Let’s increase the value of the earned income tax credit. Make sure all their kids can get Medicaid.’ That’s exactly the way its played out politically over the last 25 years all these low-income workers with kids. ‘Let’s expand Head Start, let’s have universal pre-K, let’s make sure everyone can get WIC and SNAP (the programs that replaced food stamps), Medicaid, those kinds of things.”
Camorata maintained that the need for government assistance is one reason that even the immigrants who may have socially conservative views do not vote conservative.
He cited the examples of New York and San Francisco, “probably two of the most heavily immigrant-settled places in the country and they vote overwhelmingly for the Democratic Party. They (immigrants) can be opposed to everything from handing out condoms to gay marriage to subsidized abortion and it doesn’t bother them (to vote for Democrats.)”
“They can be enthusiastic Democrats right alongside the most extreme elements of the liberal social agenda of the Democratic Party. So, what they’re telling us is, these are issues they generally don’t care about or agree with,” and that socially conservative issues do not really resonate with immigrants.
Camorata believes Republicans compound the problem by convincing themselves otherwise.
Even though many conservatives believe, based on the weight of their arguments, they can persuade immigrants to move to the right, Camorata said experience suggests otherwise.
“People who leave New York state because of its oppressive regulations and so forth, when they get to North Carolina, they vote for those same policies.”
Camarota does believe voters in the rest of the electorate could be persuaded that legal immigration is a severe problem.
“If Republicans were to explain why it’s problematic for taxpayers, why it’s making the country so much more densely populated and how that impacts their standard of living, what it means for American workers, there’s no question the public would respond.”
He insisted he Republicans could use the explosion of immigration issue against the Democrats, “But rather than persuading people it will lead to a more liberal agenda, they choose instead to please the electorate.”
Additionally, he notes, the time to make that argument is running short, because the legal immigration population is three times bigger than illegal immigrants, and a good portion of them vote.
And soon, he predicts, so will those who are currently illegal immigrants.
Democrats are using immigration to increase their power
The Eagle Forum study succinctly concludes that Democrats understand immigration is an electoral bonanza for liberalism.
While finding most Republicans reluctant to directly address the partisan implications of mass immigration, “Democrats have been quite open about how much immigration is improving their ability to win elections by importing massive numbers of liberal voters.
The report cites Eliseo Medina, a top official with both the Service Employees International Union and Democratic Socialists of America, as explaining how the expansion of the Democrat electorate through immigration “will solidify and expand the progressive coalition for the future.”
Even though the study claims mass immigration tends to harm those the Democratic Party traditionally has claimed to want to help, such as less-educated workers and minorities, “[I]mmigrants’ liberalism often reflects self-interest, as many benefit from affirmative action and welfare.”
Camorata illustrated that with the real-world example of the health-care debate.
“What was one of the chief justifications for Obamacare? Thirty-five million people without health insurance, and that number’s up 15 million since 1990. See what I mean? It’s really, really helpful to have all those low-income people, all those uninsured people, when you want to make an argument for more expansive government. And, the beauty of it is, you also increase the number of voters who are sympathetic to that argument.”
He described how the government uses the Current Population Survey primarily to get data on who doesn’t have health insurance, and the survey asks whether a person is an immigrant and when he or she came to America.
Camorota said that makes it very easy to calculate the impact of immigrants and their children on the total uninsured population. And for the last decade-and-a-half, two-thirds to three-quarters of the growth of the uninsured has been immigrants and their children.
“It is perfectly accurate to say that the nation’s health insurance crisis is being directly driven by its immigration policy.”
When did Democrats realize mass immigration was a leftist boon that could be exploited at the polls?
“By the 1980s, people in the Democratic Party realized what was happening. Prior to that, they weren’t sure how the immigrants were going to vote. But then I think they realized these were people who largely were in need of public services.”
Compounding the situation, establishment Republicans have supported amnesty and mass immigration in a perhaps quixotic effort to woo foreign-born voters away from Democrats.
A case in point is former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, the first Republican to indicate he will run for president in 2016.
“I think there’s a compelling case that if we want to be young and dynamic again, we have to make legal immigration easier than illegal immigration, that we control our borders, that we enforce the laws, but that we embrace our immigrant heritage and allow this country to take off,” said Bush recently in and interview.
However, his reference to “our immigration heritage” would seem to be undercut by the Eagle Forum findings that high levels of immigration are not the historic norm.
Carmorata attributes the common misperception that immigration levels traditionally have been high to simple ignorance.
“If you were to ask the average Republican or Democratic members of Congress how many legal immigrants there are, they couldn’t guess. If you were to tell them there are 30 million legal immigrants in the U.S., that’s one out of every 10 adults in the U.S. They would be surprised.”
He also attributed the misconception to sentimentality.
“Folks remember Great-Grandma from Minsk; she was a wonderful person. There’s a certain kind of reflexive sentimentality that is probably very ahistorical that doesn’t reflect the actual impact of those immigrants, and would be not particularly relevant to the current situation.”
He said, back then the government was spending 4 or 5 percent of the GDP on immigrants at every level of government, whereas now it is more like 35 percent.
The Eagle Forum study indicated another comment by Bush to be a common misconception when he said “[I]f we want to be young and dynamic again we have to make legal immigration easier than illegal immigration.”
The study found, “Immigrants age like everyone else and their fertility is not that much higher than that of the native-born population,” citing a “Census Bureau conclusion based on projections done in 2000 that immigration is a ‘highly inefficient’ means for increasing the percentage of the population that is of working age in the long run.”
The study also cited a 1992 article in Demography, “the leading academic journal in the field,” which found “constant inflows of immigrants, even at relatively young ages, do not necessarily rejuvenate low-fertility populations. In fact, immigration may even contribute to population aging.”
Another reason often cited as to why establishment Republicans support amnesty and increased legal immigration is pressure from corporate interests to provide ever-cheaper labor.
Camarota noted, “I would say there’s a lot of bipartisanship on immigration. It reflects the stupidity of the Republican party and maybe the indifference to American workers and taxpayers of the Democratic Party.”
And, given public misconceptions about immigration, someone such as House Majority Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, isn’t politically compelled to oppose amnesty or mass immigration.
However, Camatora is mystified as to why such a fiscally conservative congressman such as Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wisc., “can’t see the desire for smaller government is entirely in conflict with mass immigration.”
“Why Ryan can’t see it, I have no idea.”
He notes there is a school of thought in the GOP that the way to manage mass immigration is with guest workers, but said that has been proven not to work, historically.
“They think this is a way of getting labor without letting them vote. Of course, everybody knows, it will result in large-scale permanent settlement, but the Republicans kind of convince themselves it won’t.”
“Some people will want to go back, but we also know that in every single society that’s ever tried to have a guest worker program from a poor country to a rich country, it’s only resulted in large-scale, permanent settlement over time.”
He pointed to the experience of France with North Africans, Germany and Pakistanis and South Asians, Great Britain and its former colonies and the U.S. with its bracero program with Mexico.
One last factor Camorata noted was that throughout the Western world immigrants have been largely perceived as racial or ethnic minorities, and, as progressive or liberal parties perceive themselves to be the parties of the minorities, immigrants have tended to gravitate their way.
The Eagle Forum study also concluded, “Unfortunately, some immigrants are also attracted to the Democratic Party’s support for identity- and grievance-based politics.”
The ethnic-minority status of most immigrants, Camarota said, has led Republicans to fear opposition to immigration would be perceived as bigotry.
He called that fear “palpable” within the GOP, which leads them to see support for immigration as a way of combating the bigotry label.
“It allows people like Ryan to say yes I oppose affirmative action, yes I oppose all those social programs that are heavily supported by black and Hispanic voters, but I’m not a bigot because I want mass immigration.”
In conclusion, the Eagle Forum report found “the factors contributing to immigrants’ liberalism are largely outside of the Republican Party’s control.”
The only solution, it maintained, was not for Republicans to embrace immigration but to try and reduce it and to educate voters about its effects.

My comments: The US has become a poll driven Society. In the Days of Noah a poll was taken. Only eight people voted for the Ark. In the Last Day a Poll will be taken and virtually the Whole World will vote for the Beast of Revelation insuring their Eternal Demise.
